As a performer and composer, Hindemith is without a doubt one of the most important contributors to his favourite instrument's repertoire. Often compared to Bach's Sonatas and Partitas, these four solo sonatas by Paul Hindemith are certainly a challenge for any artist, one to which Ruth Killius - notably recognisable as a member of the Zehetmair Quartet - rises with fire and lyricism.
