Political junkies enjoy a bit of political intrigue now and then. Almost by definition, separatist movements create such intrigue. In North America, the clearest example is Quebec's ongoing attempt to create its own nation*. Some years back, Quebec separatists came very close to realizing their dream. Some Quebecers still hold hope, and with good reason. Culturally speaking, Quebec fits into Canada about as well as France fits into England. Put another way, the proud people of Quebec have a distinct culture and thus deserve their own nation. With all that in mind, an interesting question arises: how can people living outside Quebec help separatist-minded Quebecers achieve their goal?

Logan Alexander, a wealthy Alberta businessman, wishes to give Canadians and Quebecers a parting gift: Canada without Quebec. With Tyler Sunday at the helm, a dedicated team plans to fulfil Logan's dying wish. A brilliant communications strategist, Tyler specializes in the spread of misinformation. An American with no personal stake in the project, Tyler mercilessly taunts Quebecers toward separatism while at the same time forging a backroom alliance with a select group of Quebec separatists. There are boots on the ground, too; staged terrorism courtesy of Sicilian Tommaso Trapani and his associates. Their risky and newsworthy activities fuel more tension in Canada-Quebec relations. Following a summer of taunt and terror that captures national and international attention, including the attention of America's intelligence agencies, separatist movements around the world look on with keen interest as Quebec's newest separatist party gains considerable momentum going into a fall election. Everyone has the same question in mind: will Quebec finally separate from Canada?
