The Descendants of August Anton Jordan and Anna Eschenburg

August Anton Jordan was born on Tuesday, March 23, 1852, in Kathrinhagan, Hessen, Germany, the son of August Jordan. He emigrated to America where he met and married Anna Echenburg in January of 1876 in Chicago. From this union ten children were born. And from those ten children hundreds of individuals claim their ancestry. This book is a record of those families. Most prominent in the dozens of family names are Bradway, Loewecke and Taylor. In the chapter titled "Family of the Starting Person" the ancestors are presented in a kind of enhanced Pedigree Chart which displays the graphic representation of their direct-line ancestors and the children of the couple. This chapter contains information about the couple whose offspring are listed in the later chapters. The chapter titled "Families of his Descendants" provides details for the offspring of August Jordan and Anna Eschenburg. There is a chapter for each generation. Relatives are listed in the order of the nearness of their relationship. Sources for the information provided are given in the footnotes.
