Blue Tongue Skink

For a variety of reasons, blue-tongued skinks (Tiliqua spp.) are very popular pets among reptile enthusiasts. They're not only beautifully patterned lizards who exhibit a number of unusual adaptations and behaviors, they're also relatively docile lizards, who don't mind interacting with their keepers.
