The Events of the Summer of 20-
Aussie Cato
Hubert was a normal guy. A very, very normal and plain kid. But in the small towns of his home state, nothing is as it seems. Hubert hears a story from a gas station worker about her mysterious accident on the highway, and the creepy evidence it leaves behind. He thinks nothing of it, until someone, or some thing, starts a rampage of breaking and entering cars and buildings, ruining everything in its path, and taking some very strange items. Hubert's home town is mysteriously calm in the face of all this destruction. But Hubert, on the slightest hunch, with very little evidence, leads an investigation of his own, which eventually leads him to an old friend, and an interesting set of people that he had hardly even known before. The group, in an effort to thwart this mysterious attacker, join together to pool their knowledge and their findings. Hubert unwittingly becomes the leader of this motley crew, and as they tend to travel and meet by the abandoned railways, they dub themselves "The Railroad Runners". Can this group stop the cause of this strain of chaos on an otherwise peaceful town? Or will their striving prove to be of no worth as the attacks become greater in proportion? Find out in book one of "The Railroad Runners".
