Homeschooling Animal Activity Book for Kindergarteners

If you are teaching your kids at home, or want to supplement their school lessons, this book is great fun to colour in, learn the alphabet and names of animals, as well as learning to draw animals. And they can enjoy puzzles and mazes, helping them with problem solving, hand eye co-ordination and spelling.

Inside the book, your kids can

Colour in the letters of the alphabet and the animals that go with them. There are 26 animals or birds, one for each letter. Practise writing the letters of the alphabet, and the names of the animals that go with them. Learn how to write the letters, then trace them and then practise writing. Have fun learning to draw some animals! On each page there are 4 grids. On the left, a grid with part of the drawing. Children can copy this into the empty grid on the right, using the letters and numbers to get everything in the right place. Gradually, they will draw the whole animal - there is space to draw the whole animal twice. If your kids would like to draw bigger pictures, there are several large empty grids at the back of the book. You can cut these out. Once they've practised drawing the animal a couple of times, why not encourage them to try drawing it on blank paper?

Wordsearch, Mazes and Wordstar Puzzles

There are 4 Wordsearch Puzzles. Find the words listed at the bottom of the page in the grid above. The words go either across or down the grid or diagonally. There are 12 mazes, 4 for each picture - so they might look alike, but the answers are different! Start at S at the top and draw a line, without crossing any of the maze lines, until you reach E at the bottom. There are 8 Wordstar Puzzles. Each star spells a word - you have to work out which letter is the first one in the word and then follow the star to find the next letters. The answers show you which letter comes first, second and so on, using 1, 2, 3 etc. All the answers are at the back of the book.
