I Lived a Thousand Years is the incredible story of a fourteen-year-old Jewish girl who spent a year and a half living with gas chambers, gunfire, torture, and the constant threat of death. On this interminable journey, ordinary people are forced from their homes and their lives to the ghettos and concentration camps, transported in cattle cars, starved, and torn from their families and still, they survive. The hope to be saved and the belief in humankind still beats in the heart of this young girl.
