Images are very important documents now a days, to work with them in some applications they need to be compressed, more or less depending on the purpose of the application. There are some techniques that perform this compression in different ways. Our aim with this study is to make a comparison of some of the most used image representation formats on a set of images. We have been working with very different types of images: true color, grey scale, and high resolution photographs.
