The House of Verrocchio

Reality is often far more intriguing than it first appears. A young sculptor visiting a small Italian town uncovers a contemporary family's history whose troubled past has links all the way back to the Renaissance. In what will prove to be a slow unmasking of intrigue, adultery, and subterfuge, the young sculptor encounters a cast of characters whose lives will transform his own-if he can survive the journey with his mind still intact.
