Historian Jordan Hawke is pleased to be invited to visit a fellow historian, Helene Ogden. It does not take Jordan long to realise that Helene's search for the legendary ring of King Solomon has attracted some people who will stop at nothing to get their hands on the priceless relic. Tracing what happened to the ring leads to Franschhoek, and the French Huguenots who made the Cape of Good Hope their home. Tracing the descendants of two men who carried a historic secret, is further complicated by two dangerous groups who watch every move Jordan's team makes. When one of the descendants is attacked in his home, Jordan realises the past can be deadly for those searching for the truth. And finding the treasure is not as important as surviving to tell the story.
