Power and pain have made Dot burn some bridges on her journey to catch a killer. Mason might not forgive her and her ties to the FBI are near the breaking point. With the discovery of the Shadowmen, and other para beings she never knew existed, it's very possible she can't defeat whatever is behind the deaths of these Alaskan children. She's tried so hard to work the case and put her personal quest for her father second but it appears she can't solve one without pursuing the truth of the other.
