Now What?
Sylvia Villasenor
This book is a children's version of an event that occurred to my father and his seven children, through the unexpected death of our mother with ages ranging from four month to twelve years old me being the youngest. As personally having experienced this event, my main purpose is to reach those families that might have in the past experienced or presently experiencing a similar situation. The purpose is to give you the reader an insight of our experience and how my father handled the chain of events to keep us safe and together during the most vulnerable time of our lives called childhood. Meet the Author: Sylvia Villasenor was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. The daughter of immigrants and the youngest of seven children raised by a widowed father. Sylvia obtained a Bachelor of Science, in Business Administration with the option in Marketing. Also obtained a Real Estate license and worked in the financing end of it for thirty years. She has been married for thirty-two years and raised three children that are now adults. Her interest has turned to writing memoirs of her early life experience raised by a single father due to the unexpected death of her mother. Which includes this children's books to share her bringing after the death of her mother at a young age. Meet the artist: Sammy Gonzalez is fifteen years old and is a high school sophomore that loves to paint, draw, and sketch. In academics, Sammy carries a 4.0 GPA and is part of the Varsity Cheerleading team. She is the oldest of four children and the granddaughter of my sister Ruth. I am proud of her work and feel privileged to say that she is my parent's great granddaughter. How exciting to have Sammy be part of this children's version of a true-life event that is family history. Thank you, Sammy for accepting my invitation to participating in this project that means so much to me.
