Peekash Press is a collaboration between Akashic and UK-based publisher Peepal Tree Press, with a focus on publishing writers from and still living in the Caribbean. The debut title from Peekash, "Pepperpot: Best New Stories from the Caribbean," was published in 2014." Contributor Bio:  Jennings Simon Jennings trained as a graphic artist and is a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London. In addition to his professional experience in design and graphic art in large cities such as New York, Chicago and London, Simon has cultivated a lifelong interest in the visual arts and has taught at several British art schools. Contributor Bio:  Dawes, Kwame A prolific author and editor in myriad genres, Kwame Dawes has written sixteen collections of poetry, most recently Back of Mount Peace and Wheels. Dawes won an Emmy Award for his poetry and reporting on HIV/AIDS in his native Jamaica, and he is also the recipient of a Pushcart Prize, the Forward Poetry Prize, and the Hollis Summers Poetry Prize. Dawes is the Glenna Luschei Editor of Prairie Schooner and a Chancellor's Professor of English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
