"Addictive-drugs" are now the leading cause of injury related death in the United States. Drugs now kill more people in America than cars and guns! Since 2002, over 500,000 people in the U. S. have died from drug overdoses. An average of over 35,000 per year. At least 1 drug overdose death every 15 minutes! It is a rapidly growing reality that someone in your family has been or will be touched by the devastation of drug abuse, dependency, and addiction. Or that your family knows of someone who has, or will be! This book aims to help draw constructive attention to our nation's wide spreading and out of control "addictive-drugs epidemic." To help eliminate the ignorance, apathy, complacency, denial, greed, and counter-productive fears, that continue to enable this truly self-destructive "threat from within." To be of aid to informed and responsible choices in our daily lives. Choices free of preventable harm to ourselves and others. Choices that help us experience the blessings of life, through a body and mind unencumbered by the devastating effects of drug abuse, dependency, and addiction. Choices that help protect and preserve life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, for ourselves, our loved ones, and others whose paths we cross along our often taken for granted journey on Earth.
