Susan is an overweight single mother with a ten year old daughter. Through circumstances Susan becomes very close to her 18 year old niece Lauren. They end up at a BBW dance, where they get to know a small group of people who like nothing better than to eat. Over the next twelve years Susan wants to fully give herself to that life style but many events and tragic circumstances prevent her from doing so until later in the story. She and Lauren become the foster parents of two sisters and their brother as more tragedy strikes. Two of them are bedwetters (as is Susan's daughter). The story deals extensively with that taboo in an effort to break it. Alcoholism is featured in a not very pleasant way. So is feederism. Or is it? There are only a few sexual and sensual scenes described in the story, none are hard core.
