She wants to know who she really is, devoted to understanding her desires towards men and revealing the true powers of her love. The journey is long, but esteem and finding love's true purpose mean more obstacles than she ever could have imagined. Young waitress Lori is an independent woman who follows her dreams, on her journey to Brighton where her relationship with a new chef, Witold begins. After several experiences with different men, some being her colleagues, Lori realizes she is madly in love with Witold. However, Witold acts mysteriously maintaining his privacy and revealing very little to Lori, even though he promises her his endless love. Lori lives her dreams until they turn into an unbearable dark reality which leads Lori to become submissive and lose her self-esteem due to her addiction to love and the yearning for a man's attention. Nevertheless, painful experiences force Lori to leave Brighton and find her independence and self-love again, in India, where she discovers the shamanic teaching and healings. The novel explores the themes of self-esteem, confidence, independence and love also in connection with men - symbolized in the novel by the heroine's journey to India, attending shamanic tuition to find her independence again as well as to understand her mind, body and soul.
