This book is an enhanced version of "The GO Method - breaking barriers to language learning", which was written for learners of any language, not only German. It was a self-help book designed to help you set up your individual learning routine, a routine that is compatible with your individual learning goals and needs. I kept the structure of the original book, while adding tips and strategies specific to learning German. Most chapters have been seriously overhauled, some have been rewritten completely. This is no textbook though. I help you create your learning habits and introduce you to techniques that helped me learn 21 languages, and, most importantly, hundreds of my students of German over more than fifteen years of teaching become competent and flexible speakers. Most of them are currently living in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. With my instructions, you will be able to create your own exercises that will focus exclusively on your weaknesses, needs and personal objectives for German. This is so important, because most of us squander our limited time in untargeted, often stressful bursts of practicing that, most often, do not lead us anywhere.
