Tristes Tropiques is a memoir, first published in France in 1955, by the anthropologist and structuralist Claude Lévi-Strauss. The author, Yang Zhao interpreted Tristes Tropiques to sort out the genealogy of anthropology for more than one hundred years and enter the depths of the mind of the anthropology guru Claude Lévi-Strauss. It is a comprehensive thinking based on the change of common basic structure and the roots of originality of structuralism.
