A typical power system is modeled with actual data using ETAP software with an aim to analyse system power flow. Simulation provides an overview of the system performance and all possibilities of system optimization can be done without actually disturbing the network. Since all the data used for modeling and simulation are from reliable sources, the accuracy of the results is trustworthy. This work will help any student of power flow studies to get an insight into the practical aspects in modeling, simulation, analysis and optimization of an electrical power system
