It is a bright and crisp morning as Vice President Joshua Mitchell descends the Capitol Steps with his wife beside him. Several steps ahead of him, the President and First Lady step and pose for pictures. What started as a photo op quickly turns into a day America doesn't forget as a hit squad murders the Presidential party, with the exception of Mitchell. A man with no political aspirations, Joshua Mitchell now must step forward to lead the Nation and face the political and global challenges awaiting him. Physically wounded and emotionally devastated, can the man survive what faces him or will he be crushed by the weight of the highest office of the land.
