The Ultimate Question
Roger W Avrit
As our lives unfold, we sometimes pause to ponder what meaning our life has had. We wonder whether we will leave a legacy after we are gone that others will remember and give honor to. James Davidson, 83 years old in the twilight of his life, goes to his favorite thinking place atop a hill overlooking his home town to ponder that question. His recounting of his life's many different events that shaped him as a person would be familiar to anyone pondering the same question. What James wonders, though, is just how much lasting effect his life has had to those who know him. Read along as James reflects on what changed him into the person he is today. He finds his answer in his own mind after his life is retold and he is able to find peace with the ultimate question.
