Fight

We are all familiar with the story of Beauty and the Beast. A man cursed for who he was by an enchantress but this story is not like that. This story is based in the year 2078, ten years after the great war. A war that killed thousands. A war where our citizens fought against evil scientist, mutated creatures and those in favor of experiments. Ma would tell us fairytales from when she was younger before the world began to change. My favorite of all time is Beauty and the Beast. Then the war came, my brothers, father and other fit males from our village were drafted or volunteered for the war. Each year that went by I began to believe i would never find my prince in this world because the guys that were left in the village were not to my liking but then it happened. Finally our soldiers returned home and the war had finally ended. He was like no other, he barely spoke, he was a mystery that I wanted to solve. From the first time I had seen him when they returned something drew me to him like an invisible string making me want to figure him out. Though the truth would soon come out about who he was, someone who had said to have died in the war. His body scarred, scorched and overwhelmed by experiments. They had fought against those who used this power only to be experimented on themselves. Like others he had no idea what would happen from everything they did to him until it was to late, he had changed into something people feared, something that they had fought to exterminate. He had become The Beast but before he took this name upon himself he had gone by another, a name I would have to find out for myself one that would surprise me when I did. There is no curse, there is no magic in this story. Just the power to change your outer appearance and control the power within without becoming a monster. This is my story and in my case true love conquers all and turns a Beast into a man, a man without all his outer experiments but they still remained inside. Love is Love.
