Terry Lambert is a dwarf, who is bullied at work. Paula Stanford is a Marine Corps combat veteran dealing with nightmares from her time in Iraq and the Marines. They had nothing in common. For Terry, a morning phone call leads him into a deadly game with a serial killer. Meanwhile, Paula is dealing with a hit and run accident in a parking lot, which left her car with a smashed headlight and fender. The two events hardly seem connected until Terry's fixation to find the killer brings them together. The murder of a co-worker compels Paula to team up with Terry and the police to find this obsessed serial killer. As Terry and Paula come closer to discovering the killer's identity, they go from bystanders to becoming targets. To survive, Terry needs to learn new skills, and Paula needs to put her past behind her. But time is short, and the killer is ready.
