In all of its simplicity, Hamster's Home reminds us that sometimes unfortunate things happen that are beyond our control. However, if one does not give up and keeps moving forward, one can end up in a better situation. Hammy the hamster is devastated when his home is crushed by a large tree branch. Pursued by predators and facing the fury of nature, he presses on until he finds a home. When he helps a friend, he learns that home is more than just a shelter. This is a short, simple and humorous tale of overcoming obstacles and circumstances. The story was originally written by, Michael Cruz when he was thirteen. It has some subtle references to Philadelphia/ Delco, where it was written. It incorporates many bright, hand-illustrated characters and scenes using mixed media. It is unique in its style and content. It includes large dyslexia-friendly font and hilarious, handwritten word bubbles.
