Notes to My Loves . . .
Lanette Brown
Lanette is originally from Bremerton, Washington, a small military town in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and writing has always been a love of hers. The greatest loves of her life are her children, grandchildren, her dog Miles, and her grand dog Bran Bran (dog pictured).
She is now an empty nester of three years and is enjoying getting to know herself better. She writes as a form of relaxation.
She presently resides on the outskirts of Houston, Texas, a place she now calls home. Lanette is passionate about research for Type I Diabetes, brain cancer, and mental illness. She also supports our US troops, and wants to bring a greater awareness for those who have sacrificed their lives, have left their families for long periods of time, and have come home from devastating war(s) suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Our brave women and men have sacrificed so much to keep us safe; we must take care of them when they return home.
Lanette is introverted, reflective, outspoken, and strong willed. She enjoys gardening, going to the ocean, traveling, all types of music, and her favorite pass-time is spending time with her grandchildren. Lanette believes that life is a journey of lessons and experiences that make us who we are. Where you are today is not where you will be tomorrow, enjoy moments as they come.
