Lea loathes the life she is forced to live when she happens upon an unusual breed of vampire, Crestina in a dingy alley and is lead through a dark, twisted night as she faces death. Crestina finds traits of herself in Lea and becomes unseemly enthralled with her, bringing out a passionate self-conflict that both enamors and tortures her emotionally. Taking place in the year 1611, this story combines historical accuracy and events with dark fantasy fiction. Taking the reader to a place of classic romantic horror, it addresses insecurities and emotional battles that many women have faced as well as inner battles with religion. With an approach similar to that of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, Crestina takes you back to the romantic, emotional vampire style with a controversial twist.
