One Thing for Sure
David Gifaldi
Twelve-year-old Dylan isnt about to forgive his father, whos serving time in an Oregon prison for cutting timber illegally. His former friends at school constantly remind him of his fathers crime. Your old mans a thief. You've got bad blood. Enter Amy, spunky and opinionated, whos spending the summer with her grandparents in the Oregon coastal town of Seaview. Dylans friendship with Amy gives him answers some funny, some painfully honest. This fast-paced story has an involving plot, rounded characters and clear sense of place. Children will pull for Dylan, his story will give them much to think about. Kirkus Reviews
